Dr. Elsie Huefner is a licensed clinical mental health counselor with a specialization in substance abuse and trauma. She earned her Doctorate from Capella University in 2022, and her Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix in 2016. She is board-certified through the National Board for Certified Counselors and is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She is a Designated Examiner for the state of Utah and an avid learner. Elsie has been working in the field for over 10 years and holds a passion for those suffering from mental health and substance use disorders. Her personal story of recovery brings the work close to her heart and she approaches client care and leadership with a person-centered therapy style. She incorporates evidence-based practice and personal experience to support our clients and the clinical team in delivering optimal services. Outside of work, Elsie enjoys being a mother and wife. Her hobbies include cycling, hiking, Cross Fit, education, and going to the movies when it’s cold outside.
