Lauren Moriarty

Lauren received her graduate degree from the University of Utah with an emphasis on mental health. Lauren was born and raised in the Midwest and chose Ohio university to start her undergraduate work in psychology. She moved to Utah to chase the snow in 2010 and is now a proud alumnus of the University of Utah where she received her master’s degree in social work. With extensive experience working in residential dual-diagnosis programs, Lauren radiates determination, intelligence, and humor and uses both clinical and administrative skills to support the Pinnacles team. As a born leader whose passion for life is contagious, Lauren utilizes a healthy balance of playfulness and firm boundaries to inspire those around her regardless of the setting. She utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), sensory integration, and mindfulness skills, as they have been a large part of her personal journey. Additionally, Lauren is highly skilled in supporting others in finding their personal power using some of her favorite modalities including CBT, nature reintegration, DBT, and mind-body bridging. She is committed to guiding others to find their intrinsic strength, purpose, and personal values. She believes in acknowledging, exploring, and supporting individuals in acceptance of their experiences that make them who they are today. When she is not at work you can find her on her mountain bike, backcountry snowboarding, or cuddling up on the couch with her cat and beloved husband.
